She was predeceased by: her parents, Saffo Jacobs and Mildred Barton Jacobs; her spouse Bernise "Shorty" Porter; and her siblings, Grace Oxendine, Gertha Sizer, Dorothy Locklear, Solomon Jacobs, Nathaniel Jacobs, Kenneth Ray Jacobs and Saffo Jr. Jacobs.
She is survived by: her close friend Christopher Hunt of Dillon; her siblings, Linda Davis (Norman) of Dillon, Martha Carol Stricking of Richmond, VA and Luther Jacobs of Dillon; and her grandchildren, Trey Jacobs, Clifton Jacobs, Courtney Jacobs, Jackie Sweat, Alicia Jacobs and Jacob Jacobs. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church.
