He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady McKenzie and Lucille Coleman McKenzie; his wife JoAnn Thompson McKenzie; his son Jimmy Ray McKenzie, Jr.; and his siblings, Sherwood McKenzie, Maxine Tyndall and Faye Arnette.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Ray McKenzie (Vivian) of Woodstock, GA and Connie McKenzie Wise (Richard) of Summerton, SC; his siblings, Grady "Dick" McKenzie (Kay) of Dillon, SC, Dr. Michael McKenzie (Estelle) of Greenwood, SC and Christine Carmichael of Hamer, SC; and his grandchildren, Dillon Walker, Christine Fullmore, Victoria M. Wise, Zachary McKenzie and Nicholas McKenzie.
