He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Blackmon and Martha Retta Mumford Blackmon; and his siblings, Charles Blackmon, Billy Blackmon, Doris Floyd and Ruthie Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Chesley Blackmon, Jr. (Diane) of Latta, Steve Blackmon (Susan) of Blenheim, Tammy Lane of Mullins and Charlotte Freeman (James) of Blenheim. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the East Marlboro Baptist Church Cemetery.
