It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Thomas Matthews (Dillon, South Carolina), who passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 21, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Alex Thomas has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his sister Courtney Strickland. He is survived by: his parents, Angela Denise Strickland of Vinemont, AL and Joe Mathews of Little Rock; and his siblings, Summer Herring of Little Rock, Danielle Richardson of Latta, Allayne Roberts of Latta, Jamiee Roberts of Latta, Donnie Roberts of Latta and Kayleb Roberts of Latta. He is also survived by 9 nephews & 5 nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536).
