He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Byrd and Lula Mae Tant Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Clary Byrd; his sons, W. Dean Byrd (Carmen) of McClellanville, Charles J. "Chuck" Byrd of Newberry, Darren M. Byrd (Denise) of Society Hill and Todd K. Byrd (Karan) of Cheraw; and his siblings, Maurice Byrd (Alma) of Albuquerque, NM and Betty Lou Walker of Amelia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
