He was predeceased by: his parents, C. W. Hightower and Marie Spires Hightower; and his nephew Sean Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Richardson Hightower; his children, Randi Dearman (Wesley) of Orangeburg, Lori Holcombe of Barnwell, Starla Miller of Barnwell, Autumn Still (Taylor) of Barnwell and Dalton Hightower of Blackville; his grandchildren, Bruce Dearman, Carter Williams, Stella Price, Melody Moore, Tristan Biddinger, Sofia Biddinger and Ryder Still; and his siblings, Eleanor James of Cope, Donna Moblett of Orangeburg, Charles Hightower (Annette) of Orangeburg and Doug Hightower (Brenda) of Ulmer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
