With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Scott of Denmark, South Carolina, born in Bamberg, South Carolina, who passed away on May 6, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Manning Abstance and Sara Hightower Abstance; and her sister Sara Abstance of Virginia. She is survived by: her significant other John Edward Scott Sr.; her children, John Scott, Jr. (MaryAnn "Bre") of St. Helena Island, SC, Terri Hannold (Eric) of Jacksonville, FL and Suzanne Kinard (Robbie) of Columbia, SC; her brother Robert "Bobby" Abstance (Vicki) of Denmark, SC; her grandchildren, John Scott, III (Katie), Amy Davis (Billy) and J. R. Kinard; and her great grandchildren, Amelia Davis and Caroline Scott.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to FBC Denmark, Attn: Water Project P.O. Box 325, Denmark, SC 29042.
