It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Allen Rigby Jr. of Denmark, South Carolina, born in Manning, South Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel A. Rigby, Sr. and Clara Mae Green Rigby; and his siblings, Ann Rigby Altman and Joe Rigby. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Rada (Ken) of Anderson, SC, Pat Binnicker (Joe) of Gilbert, SC and Beth Clark (Gregg) of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Chip Binnicker (Meredith), Ashley Brewer (Kerry), Katie Butler (Neil), Gregory Clark, Allen Koon (Ashlynn), Dr. Sallie Giblin (Scott), Weslie McGregor (Kyle) and Lyndie Clark; and his great grandchildren, Mary Evelyn Binnicker, Kamdyn Butler, Graham Butler, Cleland Koon, Beau Brewer, Clara Giblin and Tatum Butler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Bethel Park United Methodist Church, PO Box 207, Denmark, SC 29042 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105-3678.

Chuck Severance wrote a sympathy message

“To the family of Sam Rigby. I am just hearing of the passing of an old friend and so very sorry to hear. Your Mom and Dad and Beth who I remember best always treated me as family for my short time when I was in Orangeburg training as a Sales Rep. Sam treated me like family and I loved he and Bobbie so. Don’t know if you’ll remember me but I hope you do. Chuck Severance 865-850-5191”
