It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Barringer of Denmark, South Carolina, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Nelson Barringer and Tovie McCubbins Barringer; and his brother-in-law Hank Judy. He is survived by: his wife Donna Barringer; his daughters, Brandy "Bookie" Barnwell (Jonathan) of Denmark, SC and Crystal "Christy" Fischer of Orangeburg, SC; his grandchildren, Lelan Wayne Barnwell, Jonathan Gabriel "Gabe" Barnwell, Brandon Corey Fischer, Alex Fischer and Hannah Fischer; his siblings, Kathy Judy of Orangeburg and Curt Barringer, Jr. (Donna); his nieces, Amanda Williams (Red), Alana Verbockel (Bob) and Carly Rivers (Anthony); his nephew Casey "Boodro" Barringer (Dana); and his mother-in-law Hattie LaFrance.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 Center Pointe Circle, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210.
