With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph M Davis of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, born in Thomson, Georgia, who passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Davis and Helen Davis; and his brother James "Jimmy" Davis (Stephanie) of Millen, Georgia.. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Hutson Davis; his former wife Mabel Jean Davis of Millen; his children, Dr. Angela Davis (Chris McDaniel) of Statesboro and Joe Davis Jr. (Joanie) of Millen, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Brianna McDaniel, Jackson, Paige McDaniel of Statesboro, Aubrey and Alivia; his children, Jacob Keith, Gabriel Keith and Jessica Jones; his stepgrandchildren, Savannah Jones, Anna Grace Jones, Dacus Jones, Plair Jones, Isiah Sheldon and Ethan Keith; his siblings, Becky Yoke (Mike) of Millen, Greg Davis (Wendy) of Sardis and Ruth Williams (late Willie Williams) of Millen; and also Church.
For Daufuskie's residents, Mrs. Davis asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Good Neighbor Fund, administered by the First Union African Baptist Church.
