He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily Charbonneau Couture and Zephyr Couture; his grandson Steve Minshew; and his siblings, Jennings, Woodrow, Earl, Fleming Couture, Dorothy Shampine and Ethel Couture.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice Griffin Couture; his children, Bill Couture (Gail) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Greg Couture (Lori) of Livonia, MI, Gail Whitehead (Kent) of Florence, Ann Zahnow (Bob) of North Port, FL and Kaye Myer (Dave) of Arcadia, FL; and his grandchildren, Cindy Joiner, Danielle Rea, Nolan Couture, Madeline Whitehead, Bailey Spitler and Shelby Ridenour. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
