He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Wayne Smothers; and his grandparents, William Edward, Beatrice Smothers, Everett and Margaret Bailey.
He is survived by: his parent Lawann Bailey Smothers; his children, Kristian and Katie Smothers; his sister Stephanie Smothers; and the mother of his children Kristi Gainey. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and many extended family.
In honor of Wayne, memorials may be made to a cancer organization of one's choice.
