He was predeceased by: his father Don Raymond Smith. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Binford Smith; his wife Diane Smith; his grandchildren, Laila, Gavin of Hartsville, Kaleb, Tyler and Owen of Marianna, FL; and his sisters, Tonya Brown (Marty) and Shelley Senteney (Mike).
