It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tom Dewitt of Darlington, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on April 25, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfield Schley DeWitt, Jr. and Elizabeth Rabb DeWitt Galloway; and his brother James "Jim" DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Snipes DeWitt; his sons, Kendall DeWitt (Jan) and Gregg DeWitt; his grandson William Scheifele (Monserrat); his great grandchildren, Bella of Bluffton, SC. and Cody Scheifele of Bluffton, SC.; his siblings, Winfield "Wink" Dewitt (Debbie) and Betsy D. Forrest (David); and his nieces and nephews, Erin Miller (Bryan), John Forrest (Chelsie) and Lyn Ballard (Scott).
