It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roberta Jeffords of Darlington, South Carolina, born in Lamar, South Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Willie James and Roberta Smoot Carter; her husband J. Scott Jeffords; her sons, Jonathan Scott (Tara) of Florence, SC and James Carter (Elizabeth) of Columbia, SC.; her grandchildren, Grayson Caroline, Lucas Carter, Jonathan Andrews (Drew), Elizabeth Bethea (Libby) and Katherine Scott (Kate); and her siblings, Anne Warr and Ben Carter (Shari). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and close cousins.
