With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Fratus of Darlington, South Carolina, born in New London, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond George Fratus, Sr. and Jacqueline "Jackie" Barnes Fratus. He is survived by: his wife Janie Lou Tucker Fratus; his children, Michelle F. Roy (Chris) of Groton, CT, Ray Fratus, III of Ledyard, CT, Thomas Fratus (Bridgette) of Darlington, SC and Joshua Fratus (Katie) of Darlington, SC; his stepchildren, Wayne Barefoot (Sabrina) of Lamar, SC and Leslie Hendrix (Shuford Quick) of Wallace, SC; his grandchildren, Trevor Wood (Shannon), Tiffany Mahler, Lil'Ray Fratus, Quinton Fratus, Kendall Fratus, Dalton Fratus, Levi Fratus and Marley Ray Fratus; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Hendrix, Taylor Hendrix and Peyton Pratt; his great grandchildren, Leah Wood, Landon Mahler, Raymie Fratus and Nava Fratus; and his brothers, Mike Fratus (Sharon) of Fort Mill, SC, Kit Fratus (Kathleen) of Jewett City, CT and Perry Fratus (Elaine) of Pawcatuck, CT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
