She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde D. Hammond and Maude Elizabeth Doughty Hammond; her husband Billy R. Melton; her son Billy R. "Roger" Melton, Jr.; and her brother Clyde Denton "Denny" Hammond.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Melton (Marie) of Darlington and Patricia Hall (Harold) of Hartsville; and her grandchildren, Beverly Tyner (Ricky), Brent Melton (Mitzi), Amanda Eargle (Brian), Krista Kvilvang (Adam), Johnny Melton, Jr. (Jennifer), Morgan Windham (Travis), Joshua Melton and Paten Hall.
