It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Gay (Darlington, South Carolina), born in Butler, Georgia, who passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son John Calvin Harris Jr.; her brothers, Reverend Jesse Bone and Mark Bone (Thomas Gay); her grandson Steven Hamrick Jr.; and her parents, Earl Edgar and Sarah Jewel Bone.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnice Lane (Stan) of Hartsville, SC, Kristy Harris of Muskogee, OK, Don (Lexa) of Mansfield, TX and Dean (Sherry) of Roseville, CA; and her siblings, Fredrick Bone, Naomi Posey and Grace Dennard. She is also survived by Fourteen Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren, two Great-great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
