He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James, Sr. and Avenell Pugh James; and his siblings, Louise Bridges, Rosetta Edwards, Geneva Moses, Evangelist Mary Douglas, Richard James and Andrew James.
He is survived by: his sisters, Pastor Annie Lou Williamson (Deacon Willie) of Darlington, SC, Henrietta J. Alford of Darlington, SC and Hattie Mae Edwards of New Haven, CT; his nieces, Patricia Edwards of Darlington, SC, Rosa Edwards of Darlington, SC, Tiffany Bridges of Darlington, SC, Valerie Bridges of Darlington, SC and Khadijah James of Darlington, SC; his great-niece Erica James; his nephews, Preston Bridges of Darlington, SC, Henry James of Darlington, SC, Joshua James of Darlington, SC and Willie Bridges, Jr. of Columbus, GA; and his great-nephew True-Allah Liles of Darlington, SC. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
