She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert O. Timmons and Vendle Matthews Timmons; her husband Ray Joseph DeFee; her siblings, Watson Timmons, Albert L. Timmons, Jessie Byrd Timmons, Dallas E. Timmons, Hubert E. Timmons, Charles Henry Timmons, Susie Bell Pierce and Vendle Jean Hayes; and her son-in-law Martin Byrd.
She is survived by: her daughter Martha Rae Byrd of Darlington; her grandson Douglas Martin Byrd, Jr. of Darlington; her great grandchildren, Austin Byrd of Cades and Trey Byrd of Arizona; her sister-in-law Lynne Timmons of Timmonsville; and her niece Susie Williams of Darlington.
