She was predeceased by: her father Albert; and her former husband LeRoss Carter (Ross) of Darlington. She is survived by: her sons, Ronald LeRoss Carter (Ron) of Darlington and Lewis Douglas (Doug); her husband James Ervin Dixon of Hartsville; her grandchildren, Michelle Carter Norton (Chris) of Darlington, Kimberly Carter Gulledge (Carl) of Columbia, Chris Carter (Jennifer) of Darlington and Doug Carter Jr. of Effingham; and her former husband Ross. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
