He was predeceased by: his father Joseph C. "Joe" Shelley; his wife Brenda Childers Shelley; his siblings, Jimmy Shelley, Carlyle Shelley and Betty King; and his nephew James "Canty" Shelley.
He is survived by: his daughter Suzette Shelley of Darlington; and his pet Geraldine. He is also survived by friends, his beloved cats and dogs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to the Darlington County Animal Shelter.
