He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Suggs and Ella Mae Oliver Suggs; his wife Barbara Howle Suggs; his siblings, Billy, Jackie, Julian, Mary, Judy, Helen, Martha, Janice and Margie; and his grandson Austin.
He is survived by: his sons, Clayton Suggs (Jennifer) and Johnny Suggs, Jr.; his brother Randall Suggs; and his grandchildren, Tyler Herbert, Quinton Suggs, Skyler Yarborough and Chris Yarborough.
