He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward D Miles and Lillie Mae Evans Miles; his grandparents, Albert and Pauline Evans; the mother of his children Lorrie Miles; his daughter-in-law Amy Miles; his brothers, Eddie "Pee Wee", Terry, Vinson Miles The, McLeod Infusion and Dr Rao (Amy Thomas); and his caregivers, Tami, Mack, Jessie and Leah.

He is survived by : his close friends, Jimmy and Shawnette McDonald of Jimmy's Golf; his sons, Benji Miles and Michael Miles; his stepson John Howle; his grandchildren, Savannah, Gunner, Mackenzie, Khloe and Hunter Howle; his sisters, Sharon Tanner and Debbie Baxley (Larry); his sisters-in-law, Helen Miles and Amy Taylor (Robin); and his cousin Barbara Poston (Arnold).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Belk Funeral Home - Darlington (229 W Broad St, Darlington, SC 29532). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 3:00 PM at 836 E Smith St, Timmonsville, SC 29161. A burial will be held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at the Miles Cemetery.
