She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Griggs and Almena Griggs; her son Thomas Ross; and her siblings, Fred Griggs, Hazel Smith and Marie Semiklose.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Kelly, Sr.; her children, Gordon Ross (Lynette) of Hartsville, Chris Ross (Michelle) of Chesterfield and William Ross of Mt. Croghan; her stepchildren, Sheila Drafts (Ken) of Lexington and Richard Kelly, Jr. (Amy) of Edgefield; her sisters, Helen Griggs of Chesterfield, Vivian Byrd (Jerry) of Texas, Lois Vaughan (David) of Hartsville and Betty Brown (Andy) of Patrick; her brother-in-law Tom Semiklose of Hartsville; and her caregiver Tammy Hodge Griggs. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Belk Funeral Home - Darlington (229 W Broad St, Darlington, SC 29532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Free Will Baptist Bible Church (316 Orange St, Darlington, SC 29532). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at the Florence National Cemetery (803 E National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC 29506).
In honor of Mrs. Kelly, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
