He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Byrd (Garnette) of Marion and Melanie Baxley Barfield of Marion; his grandparents, Marlene, Thomas Baxley, Rowland and May Belle Byrd; his stepfathers, Jerry Peele and Hayes Barfield; and his siblings-in-law, Brandon White and Mary Beth Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Kristi White Byrd; his children, Christopher White of Darlington and Harley Byrd of Darlington; his brothers, Spencer Peele (Angie) of Albemarle, NC, Andrew Peele of Mullins and Matthew Peele of Albemarle, NC; his aunts, Natalie Baxley, Connie Baxley, Stephanie Webb (Bill), Julie Fulleston (Bert), Lorie Anne Rogers (John) and Jean Tyler; and his parents-in-law, Gene and Angie Watts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
