It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Koontz of Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on December 18, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Phillips and Bertha "Birdie" Phillips; her husband Joe Foster Koontz; and her sons, Dwayne Koontz and Terry Koontz.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Koontz (Linda), Roger Koontz and Sharon Poole (William); her daughter-in-law Marla Koontz; her grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney (Ben), Seth, Skylar, Lance, Heather and Rebecca (Paul); and her great grandchildren, Joshua, Zoey, Stiles, Laylah, Zach, Derrick, Wyatt and Laney.
