We bid farewell to Janice Owens (Darlington, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 23, 2025 at the age of 76. Janice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Craven Lee Lane Sr. and Sullie Weaver Lane; her husband Jon Blair Owens; and her sister Georgia Armstrong. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca "Becky" Shelton (Ricky), Jon Owens Jr. and Robert David Owens (Ryan); her grandchildren, Andrew Taulbee, Madison Griggs, Faith Jordan, Xzavia Brown, Ricky Shelton Jr. and Kingston Johnson; and her siblings, Susan Trantham (Charles) and Craven Lee Lane, Jr. (Dixie). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Florence Baptist Temple (2308 S Irby St, Florence, SC 29505). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Grove Hill Cemetery (405 S Warley St, Darlington, SC 29532).
