He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Walkup and Marie Walkup; his wife Linda Walkup; and his daughter Kelly Gagnon. He is survived by: his sons, James Mitchell Walkup of Darlington and Bobby Walkup (Amanda) of Cheraw; his grandsons, Chandler, Tyler and Mason; and his brothers, Tommy Walkup (Terri) of Florence, Bill Walkup (Brenda) of Hartsville and David "Chuck" Walkup (Laura) of Pamplico.
