She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Kirkley and Ola Hunter Kirkley; her husband Samuel Edward Hodges; and her siblings, Lawson Kirkley, Drew Kirkley, Judson Kirkley and Grace Plyler.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Hodges Moody (Rex); and her sister Judy Tiller of McBee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Swamp Baptist Church, 6558 Oates Hwy. Timmonsville, SC 29161; or to a charity of one's choice.
