He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson DuRant and Charlotte Marie Tyson DuRant; his brothers, Marvin Walter DuRant and John Thomas "J. T." DuRant; and his sister-in-law Carolyn DuRant Odom.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Edwards DuRant; his daughters, Pamela DuRant and Paula DuRant Salvo; his grandson Woods Salvo; and his sister Marie Howle (James).
