She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Henderson and Dorothy Crowley Henderson; and her husband Jack Carter. She is survived by: her sons, Les Carter (Debbie) of Santee and Andy Carter (Agnes) of Darlington; and her nieces, Dot Byrd and Fran Kelly. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
