She is survived by: her sister Joyce Sanchez (Roy); her children, Ward Byron Gainey (Melissa), Tonda Lynne Gainey McLeod (Joey) and Brodrick Kevin Gainey (Pandora); her daughter-in-law Sonja Munn Gainey (Ricky); and her grandchildren, Kelli Gainey Solly (Stephen), Brantley Gainey, Jr. (Lindsi), Seth Gainey (Bonnie), Chad Gainey, Anna Gainey Spinks (Matthew), Dr. Paige Gainey Nettles (Austin), Joe and Trey McLeod III.
