He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Sonny" Greene, Sr. and Ruth Yarborough Greene; his siblings, Mary Louise Greene and Therodgers "Doc" Greene; and his sons-in-law, Carl Cain and Sgt. Terrence F. Carraway.

He is survived by: his former spouse Miss Elizabeth Jacobs; his wife Elizabeth Jacobs Greene; his children, Nancy Cain, Phyllis Scott (Edward M.), Yvonne Greene, Jonathan Greene (Vanessa S.), Richard Greene, Robin Jones (Tommy), Allison Carraway and Christa McAllister (Jerry); and his sister Anne Burgess of Hamden, CT. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, close family and friends.
