It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Eddie Gilmore Jr. of Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eddie Gilmore and Edna Gilmore; his brother Edward "Jimmy" Broome; his wife Daisy D. Gilmore; his children, Reginald Gilmore of Florence, SC, Dorothea Guyton of Darlington, SC, Sharon Jackson (Donald) of Darlington, SC, Alvin Gilmore (Christine) of Garner, NC and Timothy Cabbagestalk of Baton Rouge, LA.; and his siblings, Bernard Gilmore (Gloria) of Darlington, SC, Stephen Gilmore of Darlington, SC, Roderick Gilmore of Darlington, SC, Janie Trotter of Darlington, SC, Daisy Lowery of Thomasville, NC and Deborah Gilmore of Darlington, SC. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
