He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Gray "E. G." Melton and Gladys Suggs; and his brother Roddy Melton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Melton; his sisters, Trina Powell and Kathy Melton; and his close friends, Michelle Godfrey, Terry, Pam Blackmon, Michaela Blackmon and Aubrey Blackmon.
