He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford H. Holbrooks and Mautille Broadaway Holbrooks; and his siblings, Avanell Duke, Kathryn Williams, Clifford "Boe" Holbrooks and Billy Holbrooks.

He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Paige Holbrooks and Charles Benny "Chip" Holbrooks, Jr. (Roxane); his grandchildren, Rachel Sawyer (Bishop), Devon Grier (Brian Shirley), Alyssa Holbrooks and Charles Benny "Chase" Holbrooks III (Rebecca); and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Benton, Blakely, Ella, Bristol, Hudson and Elaina.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 306 West Cherokee Road, Florence, SC 29501.
