It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Odom of Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Gainey and Kathleen Hall Gainey Parnell; her son Bryan DuRant (Dina); and her siblings, Charlie Gainey, Wayne Gainey, Dot Ham and Wanda Wilson.
She is survived by: her husband Joe E. Odom; her children, Joe Odom III of Darlington, Kevin DuRant (Rebecca Strickland) of Darlington and Monica Poston (Ronnie) of Ruby; her grandchildren, Hailey, Courtney, Sheena, Katelyn, Little Ronnie, Noah, Walter, Bren and Liz; her great grandchildren, Alayna, Addison, Connor, Grayson, Kayden, Gracie and Mason; and her siblings, Robert Gainey (Linda) and Donna Register (Buck).
