He was predeceased by: his parents, Colie Wilkes and Ruth Broach Wilkes Mack; his son Jeffrey Wilkes; his grandson Dustin Wilkes; his great grandchild Alanna Wilkes; and his brother Otis Wilkes.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Salyers Wilkes; his children, Victoria Wilkes, Anthony Wilkes (Glenda), Benny Wilkes (Maggie), Martin Wilkes (Tinesa), Gwendolyn Lance (Clifford) and Eric Wilkes (Crystal); and his siblings, Carolyn Young, Diane Orcutt, Lois Hudson and Colie Wilkes.
