He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson B. Gainey and Gertrude Mincey Gainey. He is survived by: his spouse Hallie Fletcher Gainey; and his siblings, Wayne Gainey (Claudia) of Sumter, SC and Susan Languis of Sumter, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
