He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Benton and Josie Benton. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Goss Benton; his children, Gregory Benton (Tina) of Norman, IN, Rob Benton (April) of Bowling Green, KY and Lori Payne (Ron) of Sumter, SC; and his stepchildren, Ben Bohlander of North Charleston, SC, Paul Bohlander of Seymour, IN, Megan Dempsey (Anthony) of Lexington, SC and Becky Vehslage (David) of Brownstown, IN.
