He is survived by: his son Joseph Lamont Younger (Samantha) of Dallas; his wife Wanda Dickerson; his children, LaCretia Gywnn (Deidrich "Dee") of Winston Salem, Georgia, Kevin Dickerson Cole (Rio) of Rockmart and Matthew Dickerson (Latoya) of Keystone; his stepchildren, Shawanda Rush, Jarrelle Rush and Danielle Rush; his siblings, Lasonja Dickerson (Quentin) of Ellenwood, Georgia and Michael Dickerson (Diane) of Dalzell; and his close friend John Robinson. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild.
