We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2021, at the age of 72, John James Brooks Jr. (Dalzell, South Carolina), born in Lancaster, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Brooks, Sr. and Lucille Mobley Brooks; and his brother Stanley Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Gloria "Pat" Deas Brooks; his children, Reginald L. Brooks of Huntsville, AL, Mary Prescott of Atlanta, GA, Corey J. Brooks of Salisbury, NC and Vincent J. Brooks (Keyanna) of Sumter; his brothers, Conrad Brooks (Delores) of Wedgefield and Dean L. Brooks of Concord, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Deas of Brooklyn, NY, Carol Deas, Cassie Deas, Barbara Dease of Sumter, Elbert Deas (Juanita) and Norris Deas (Barbara) of Sumter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID -19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 3990 Camden Highway, Dalzell.
