He is survived by: his mother Betsy Windham Tauzin; his sons, John Ellis Barbee (Kristina) of Sumter, Al Nelson (Jennifer) of Sumter and Holley Nelson of Dalzell; and his grandchildren, Easton Barbee, Izzy Nelson, Ian Nelson, Ansley Nelson and A. J. Nelson.
