He was predeceased by: his sons, Jerome Taste, Anthony Taste, Eric Taste, Nathaniel Taste and Johnny Lee Taste; and his siblings, Maggie Gathers, Geneva of Washington, Earnest Taste, Carrie Reed, Joe Louis Taiste and George Taste.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mae Taste; his sons, Benjamin Taste (Lulla Mae) and Joseph Taste; his daughters-in-law, Rosa Taste, Leeatha Wright Taste, Lucille Taiste and Monica Corprew-Taste; his sisters, Lorrine Grissett, Henrietta Reese, Ella Mae Frazier and Estelle Brown (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Carrie B. Taste, Mae Taste, Nellie Haskell, Peter Gathers and Earl Benjamin. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
