It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Alton Stalvey of Cross Hill, South Carolina, born in Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel David and Ella Johnson Stalvey; and his siblings, Archie Stalvey, Arthur Stalvey, Aaron Stalvey, Nina Blackmon and Alma Craven.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Ball of Frankfort, KY, Linda Brechko (John) of Charleston, SC and Megan Turner (Victor) of Cross Hill; his grandchildren, Jennifer Alphonse (Michael), Michael Ball and Travis Garrett (Ellen); and his great grandchildren, Kira Garrett, Calla Garrett, David Ball and Eliza Alphonse.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
