He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Sturgill Covington; his parents, Paul Covington and Addie Marie Steadman Covington; and his siblings, Marvin Steadman, Robert Covington, Betty Suttles and Mary Ayers.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth Covington of Cowpens, Diane Cothan of Roebuck and Libby Covington of Chesnee; and his niece Melinda Trisler of Cowpens.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
