He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Rice and Edna Earl Rice (Gideon). He is survived by: his children, James Walters, Rebecca Rice and Jamie Rice; his brothers, Leonard Rice (Cathy) and Kenny Gideon (Maudie); and his grandchildren, A'maya, Dakota, Juliana, Graesyn and Jayden.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Free Will Baptist Church (1195 Old Converse Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
