He was predeceased by: his parents, Doctor Crawley Phillips and Flora Spencer Phillips; and his wife Jo Anne Moss Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Leatha Phillips, Laurie Easler (David) of Spartanburg, SC, Melanie Harris of Cowpens, SC. and Charles Thomas "Chad" Phillips Jr. (Sherrie) of Gaffney, SC; and his brother Billy Phillips of Boiling Springs, SC.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
