He is survived by: his children, Sandra B. Galloway (Anthony) of Effingham and Richard Dean "Ricky" Bruton (Karen) of Evergreen; his grandchildren, Alex C. Bruton (Allison) of Olanta, Whitney Bruton of Florence, Emily Bruton (Matt) of Florence, Meaghan Turner (Chase Bazen) of Pamplico, Marissa Turner of Coward and Taylor Bruton (Jordan Pitts) of Ashville, NC; his siblings, Charles Bruton of Florence, Dot Lynch of Florence and Nancy Byrd (Whit) of Florence; and his niece Margaret Edmonds. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
